Or you could take the "executive" approach (only works if yours is a sufficiently big company). Irrespective of your salary increase you ask for help, you say you need a person UNDER YOUR COMMAND to help with the daily chores. You don't need any special skills just now, just someone who is computer literate and can get hold of routine work. Once you get that there'll be two advantages you gain. You have people under you so you MUST earn more than they do. And you have spare time to absorb new responsibilities. Your goal is to increase the people under your command, take hold of more work inside the company, build up a section inside the company that is your responsibility. Then salary raises are easy, all you have to do is point how many things in the company are your responsibility. Caveat : you'll get less time to program and do things you 'really' enjoy :-) _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[EMAIL PROTECTED] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
