Because they are safe, economical and efficient. Did I mention non-polluting?
Every energy source has issues, but it seems odd to me that the environmental
whackos are always chasing after ideas that would take us back to the horse and
buggy days and fighting anything that yields enough energy to keep our economy
running. Seems like another agenda to me.
