Dude, when you drop the "division" and you have 100 to 100,000 bodies to
deal with, it is in no way prudent for the business to do jack squat for the
"people" that they no longer need.  I take it for granted that this work is
going to be done by people who will be compensated at a much lower rate.
The company is giddy with saving the money, and has factored in the lower
quality / higher returns and fells good.  Now what to do with all those
people?  The more they do for those "lost souls" the lower the BONUS will be
for the brilliant managers who were able to save the company all that coin.

This is first hand experience with NWA and their cutting the organization
formerly know as the City Ticket Office.
