5 years ago, when I decided to try VFP, the main resources I found were in
UTMAG - as series of articles called "VFP for beginners" from Claudio
Lassala.

This was my first step with VFP.

Then, I found the various VFP forums - Profox, UT, Foxite, Compuserver,
TekTips among others
And it has already happened that I posted some questions (5 years ago) in
PROFOX and in other resources, and the only place that I got an answer was
UT.

I`m not complaining of anything, people are not obliged to answer all
questions, and from an unknown visitor.
But in UT I received lots of help. Many times, the help comes with a link to
another previous thread, where I can find
some tips or solutions.

I found many great articles in UTMAG, that helped me a lot in my VFP life.

I visit some forums regularly, UT included.
I`m not a UT subscriber, I NEVER paid a penny for any info or help I got
from there.

And because of this, I`m thankful to UTMAG. I even wrote 5 or 6 articles for
it.
And I have to disagree with the majority here, because UTMAG has always
brought great value.

To read UTMAG, you don't need to like Michel Fournier.
Luckily, Michel has some great people that offered him lots of help, and
that are really helpful, and super engaged with the VFP community. As Mike
Yearwood said, they work without any financial profit, and dedicate many
hours to help the community.

ALthough the essence of UT is a business that looks for profit, the majority
of the developers and contributors that make UT are really great, and
provide help without looking for other benefits.

These people are also an important part of the VFP community.

Kind regards
