It is not a simple mash to fermentation process.  There are many steps to
getting the mash to a high simple sugar state.

Oh and then you have to distill it, talk about an energy drain to make
energy?

I like the newer companies that are using old tires and other "rich" trash
that we generate for their ethanol base ingredients.
