I am not saying this was an intended spoof or not, but I can say I have seen 
Microsoft spend money
to create videos that were more costly than 50K just in the time Bill Gates was 
on screen (not
including all the outtakes). They do like to do these types of things and have 
regularly made fun of
themselves.
