I am inclined to believe it is a film to get the troops fired up.  I 
used to work for General Electric in the appliance division.  They had a 
sales video made by the Muppets.  They showed it at the end of product 
training classes and it definitely produced the desired results.  It was 
funny, inspirational and got everyone motivated to go out and sell.

In that light the Microsoft video is kind of sad.  It would be better as 
a spoof.
