That's my take as well.

There was too much effort and detail in the video for it to be a spoof. If
it's a spoof, the audience has to get it -- but it clearly wasn't
tongue-in-cheek.

Remember, MSFT is first a marketing company. This video isn't targeted for
you or I, but resellers.

The video got You-Tubed and MSFT, being an marketing company, has tried to
get out in front of it -- "It's a spoof! Wink! Wink! Don't you get it?"
