My problem with some clients is that they like my work a great deal, but
what they don't like is what it costs and that it requires more than a few
moments to complete. I have never received anything other than positive
comments regarding the quality of my work. However, there are always those
that are unwilling to pay for quality.

Maybe your client just doesn't like paying people actual money for work.
