Hmm... I have my Windows XP set to "turn off automatic updates". I'll 
periodically manually apply the updates that seem important given my 
Windows use patterns, and that hasn't happened in quite a while.

My computer did not reboot last night, however when I look at my 
automatic update settings now, none of the options are selected.

Fishy, indeed.
