QA - the devil is in the details...

First thing I'd look at is experience with projects of the type and 
scope you will ask them to be dealing with. If they aren't used to being 
able to divide/conquer then they can easily get in over their heads. I 
know - I've been there....

Do you have a 'baseline' or 'core' test i.e. each release is ran through 
with the same set of numbers, running the same reports, etc and then 
compared to the Perfect Software i.e. everything is still correct? 
Amazing how many new bugs pop up with baseline testing.

If you haven't already established such a test process - are they 
experienced with doing so and/or developed one in the past? Would they 
want to?
