If I were hiring - investing in - someone who will take an important position in my company, I do want to know about that person's basic attitudes about things. Because I agree with Jung's assertion that we are either builders or destroyers, I see that distinction as a basic building block of a person's attitude. If I had just a few interviews with a candidate and had to pick questions to use as an 'attitudal barometer', this one comes to mind as useful. Yes, I am saying that warmongers are destroyers. An OT comment, sorry, but it's also applied psychology, which is part of the workplace.
