If we don't change course, we are liable to wind up where we are headed. Since the Supreme Court has been silent on the death penalty, the power over this issue falls to the states that use different methods to carry out executions. I think the Supreme Court recently ruled that lethal injection, as a method of execution, is not cruel or unusual punishment, but the bigger issue is the taking of a life by any mean, which seems extremely cruel and unusual to me. A life, once taken, cannot be returned. All life is a gift from God, so only God has the right to take life back. > But why bother anymore?
