And do you add up the minutes and bill for EXACT minutes , or do you
round, or use 15 minute increments, or what? Those scumbag cell phone
companies used to always round up, the first SECOND you went over the
minute. For example, 1 minute and 1 sec was 2 minutes. I used to fume
about that.

Here's the issue at hand apparently: I've got auditing used in the
software that simply records the SYS(0) value, IP and MAC address,
Windows version, and FabMate version, and then stores that in a web
MySQL database. As it turns out, the ISP's database that I use---for
some unknown reason (as they haven't called me back yet)---is not
responding. The app code trying to connect to that database *should*
timeout per the SQLSETPROP(0,"ConnectTimeout",5) setting, but it's not.
So FabMate's core product code is functioning just fine...it's the
auditing that I use to show metrics on usage that's at fault...and it's
not even my code's fault. The customer says "can't we circumvent the
ISP's servers?" to which I respond that it would take me 8+ hours to
make the appropriate changes, test, and repackage and deliver to them,
and that MBSS' standard rate for this kind of work is $175/hr. I told
him I could get started on this this evening if they'd like.

This client is an old FoxDos programmer and so he's going to shit a
brick at having to pay this cost.

Even if this is determined to be a "bug" with my software, it's been in
operation for nearly 5 years, so it's well past the warranty phase, imo.
