There are other options,
you can use Adobe Distiller  and drag multiple files onto the print driver 
and they will automatically convert, provided you have some sort of word 
document application which can render them. (open office or MS office)
Doing a quick Google search  there are a number  server level PDF conversion 
tools and batch file tools for this process. some free.
