Hi Geoff! We don't know how to do taxes on rich people. We see them as the bearers of gifts rather than the plunderers of the kitty. There is this myth that they are employers, consumers etc. In reality they are *foreign* employers at best, and consumers of mainly high end items that are often foreign as well. Once upon a time the rates were higher on the rich, but that only gave rise to a loophole industry which resulted in the rich not paying *any* taxes. That scandal lead to the alternative minimum tax which was not indexed to inflation and very quickly became the scourge of the middle class. -- Regards, Pete http://pete-theisen.com/ _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[EMAIL PROTECTED] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
