I have used Outlook and tried Thunderbird.  Gave it two weeks before I
removed from my laptop.  Sometimes you get what you pay for and for
free it may be tolerable for a lot of people.  I chose not to be one
of them.

Biggest PITA was spam management as an add on.  same product name
between OL and TB.  TB just wanted to trash just about everything.
That was my second peeve.  The program would trash it's configuration
file.  That instability was why I had to stop making excuses for TB.
I started OL back up and never had a problem since.
