Sorry, but you are making completely ignorant statements here. This
thread started with someone with almost negative technical ability
trying to install a non-user-oriented distro. No one familiar with
Linux distros would recommend that a clueless beginner start with
Debian. Ubuntu, Fedora and Xandros would be much better choices.
I've watched a non-technical person with experience installing
Windows install Ubuntu. They had absolutely no problem following the
simple instructions, most of which consisted of clicking 'OK'. When
installation was finished, they figured out the login screen (how hard
is that?) and when their desktop appeared, had no problem navigating
the 'Start Menu'-like menu; they found FireFox and were browsing the
web in minutes.
If you've actually tried current Linux distros and still prefer
Windows, that's fine. But spreading uninformed BS like "Linux is so
hard to use" is dishonest.
