I know that the second monitor *can* work, it is flashing an annoying pattern at me as I type. I got it to work in Mepis and my buddy got it to work in Gentoo on this same box. Just have to find the right driver and how to plug it in. This was point and click in Mepis *but* other stuff wouldn't work in Mepis.
