        That's just plain wrong. You hire a professional because you don't have 
the knowledge to do the job yourself. Do you give a set of "blueprints" to your 
doctor? Do you tell your lawyer how to argue a case? Of course not. You tell 
them what your needs are, and then expect them to have the necessary knowledge 
and skill to either heal you, or keep you out of jail.

        The same is true of software development. If I had a potential client 
tell me how the app they want should be written, i.e., they handed me 
"blueprints", I would pass on the job. Clearly they think they know more about 
my craft than I do, and there's no way that such an arrangement can turn out 
well.
