Hi Stephen, Well, whenever you and I disagree about something like this, you are right, of course. It may not be hard for you so I guess it is not hard. I finally gave up on the project. There is an interesting effort called VistA which runs on Mumps. It may be the biggest EMR project out there. Trouble is, only specialists can work with it. I was on their list for about a year and every third or fourth thread was "how can I install this thing" or "how can I run this thing". The word was that the list had been like that for 20 years. It never worked the same way twice. It was best to run it in a VM since it is it's own OS. If you managed that then you had to have Windows to run the user's front end. They had a Linux front end but it wasn't ready for prime time. Windows, of course, had all the Windows problems, adware, spyware, viruses and BSOD. What really capped it was the lawyers telling the docs to stay away from it. I am 65 now anyway, let someone else do it. -- Regards, Pete http://pete-theisen.com/ http://elect-pete-theisen.com/ _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[email protected] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
