I'm a little afraid of the Humanscale Freedom Chair, after reading some negative reviews on it. I'm now looking at the Embody Chair by Herman Miller. Its the successor to the famous Herman Miller Aeron Chair:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w5xsxrriXOU&feature=related I purchased my current chair back in 2005. I brought it online for $1,299.00 with an additional charge like $150.00 for shipping. It's completely covered in really nice, soft, leather. However, I wanted a really heavy duty chair, so I selected the big and tall version of the chair. My problem with this current chair is I can't really sit with my bottom and back firmly planted against the back of the chair, and still be able to dangle my legs over the end of the chair's seat cushion. Also, where my legs break stays flush against the chair's seat cushion, as my legs dangle just off the floor; because, the height adjustment of the chair, even in its lowest position, is still to tall for me. This is not good for blood circulation to my legs. I need a chair where I can firmly plant my leg on the ground with breathing room where my legs break, all while my back is flush against the chair's back for support. My current chair is so big that I'm constantly swimming around in it looking for a comfortable position, which usually results in going to a slouching position towards the right or left arms of the chair. To make a long story short; my current chair is just to big for me. I hate spending so much money on an office chair, but over the long run an ergonomic chair will probably pay for itself as a preventive measure against future health issues, and as long as I'm going to spend that kind of money on a chair, I might as well get the chair I really want.
