I didn't know enough about SilverLight to know if it would be right for
my scenario. No - I'm not really looking to build a Web App - but, as
you suggested - just generate a Gallery. And, yes, I don't mind using a
pre-built one, if I can generate my Gallery similar to the way it
already looks - and hopefully I can build it using the Data I already
have in my database (like artists names, country of origin, name of
image, whether the image is printed on mousepads or blankets, the link
to the image, the link to the items as sold on CafePress, etc.). Again -
I am really shooting for keeping my Gallery the way it already looks -
if possible. You can see it here:

Do you want to build a web app, or do you want to drop in a pre-built
Gallery app? I'm getting confusing signals. If you want to build a web
app, VFP is great, PHP or Ruby or Python is better. There are web app
frameworks for all platforms. You will need to learn a little HTML and
CSS if you're serious about developing an app. The more you learn, the
better the site looks. An amateur site screams amateur, and that's
fine if you're building your own home page as a learning experience,
but it's not always appropriate if you want to give people the best
first impression.

Look at this for an example: http://pt35mm.com/

If, instead, your interest is a gallery to show off your artwork, I
would expect AJAXy whizbang, a LightBox-equivalent gallery application
and a seamless, slick web interface. Those are free if you invest a
little time in shopping and install something like WordPress or
Joomla! or Drupal and pick a good template, a nice theme, and the
right plugins.

Instead of investing a lot of time in learning to build a web app from
beginning to end, consider using a pre-built one, and add your stuff
on the top.
