Ed - thanks for your feedback. This is the kind of thing I was looking for - to see what others would say. I know that years ago - some folks would say NOT to develop a webpage in purely Flash - since it would limit who could view it. And, now I see it's the same thing with Silverlight.
At this point - I'm still considering which way to go - so I shall also keep this in mind... -K- -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Ed Leafe Sent: Thursday, January 20, 2011 9:36 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: VFP and Webpages... Just remember: whenever you drift away from standards to something proprietary like Silverlight, you limit the number of people who can use your site. If you have a closed, controlled user base, such as an internal company website, you can get away with forcing people to install stuff, but in the real world, you will be excluding a large portion of the internet. -- Ed Leafe [excessive quoting removed by server] _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/289ea162f5642645b5cf64d624c66a1409df1...@us-ny-mail-002.waitex.net ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
