He already said it's a SB16, not a SBPCI (the "rebadged" Ensoniq's).  If 
it is actually on honest to god old ISA sb16 you have 2 options.

1.  Buy a new soundcard...that thing is WAY outdated :)
2.  pnpdump > /etc/isapnp.conf; edit isapnp.conf to make things happy; 
isapnp /etc/isapnp.conf

Progeny may already do this for you, I don't know, I haven't touched an 
ISA card in years.
