Well, I'm running Progeny on my Sony VAIO laptop (xg19) without a hitch.
The X configuration takes a few rounds before it actually works. It
try's to go through every xserver and fails and then finally asks you
for how much video ram you have (I had to lie and say I had 4megs, not
6) and which video chipset you have (neomagic in my case) and then it
just worked.
