I have been trying to get it to run on my HP OmniBook 4100 with 266cpu,
128m ram, 6g hdd, etc.
What might I pay for a VAIO used? Need to know what I'd need to try
to get out of my HP.
I also understand that the older IBM 600 series are both rugged and
Linux friendly Toshiba Tecra 8100 and CPS has recommended both.
What might one of those cost to acquire used?
I really need two Linux laptops for emergency communications, one as
a network box running the neat free Linux server I found at www.e-esmith.org
,
the other as a desktop-replacement and portable PC. Perhaps I can get
enough
from my HP and desktop to acquire a minimal-spec e-smith-Linux-Progeny
friendly
laptop and a more substantial one.
