Aalt,
       You are quite correct. The text  'The maximum and minimum via attributes
are checked by the on-line and batch DRC' does seem to imply that the Protel
team intended for this rule to be checked by the DRC, but if you look in the DRC
dialog there is no listing of the Routing Via Style rules for either on-line or
batch DRC. So unfortunately, what they intended and what actually happens is
different. The rule is not checked. It is too often the case that the manual and
the reality differ with the Protel software. Should be a work of moments for
them to fix it, maybe in SP7? Until then, have to do it yourself.
