Exactly what is "software as a service"? What is the service provided? I
can't relate to this. I'm still struggling with ATS.

Nevertheless, 'plain old vanilla' Software Service can be specified:
*Patches to fix lurking and surprise bugs
    *Restoring corrupted software and files
    *Eliminating conflicts with other applications
*Tuning the environment for optimum performance
*Guidance through esoteric and difficult procedures
    *Rapid response with closure
    *Appropriate addenda to Users' Manual.
Professional users want productivity, and do not want the burden of
servicing software, nor are users capable in most cases. The service onus
lies with the vendor.

Fred A Rupinski
