Are you sure you are using the right type of coax in your BNC cables?  Could
be signal reflection from impedance mismatching.

I seem to remember that many coax/BNC cables are 50 ohm.

But most video signals are based on 75 ohm termination.

You need special 75 ohm BNC cables if you have 75 ohm video equipment.
