It looks like once Protel finds the object-kind match (via-smd), it applies the rule if "same-net", but doesn't apply ANY rule (not even whole-board) if not "same-net". Seems like a bug.
The workaround is to add an object-kind rule (via-smd) for "different nets", and set it to the whole-board clearance. > -----Original Message----- > From: Tomasz Grodnicki [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > Sent: Monday, March 25, 2002 4:38 AM > > So I set following rule: > > Scope1: Object Kind: SMD Pad, > Scope2: Object Kind: Via, > Connectivity: Same Net Only, > Gap: 7mil. > > My whole board clearance was 10mils. > > Everything worked as expected, but this rule took precedence over > whole board clearance rule for SMD Pad - Via regardless of nets involved. > It seems like "Same Net Only" functions like "Any Net". > For instance when I placed GND via close to Vcc pad > (report-primitives=8mils) it was not flagged as DRC error. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * To post a message: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] * * To leave this list visit: * http://www.techservinc.com/protelusers/leave.html * * Contact the list manager: * mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] * * Forum Guidelines Rules: * http://www.techservinc.com/protelusers/forumrules.html * * Browse or Search previous postings: * http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected] * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
