Go to <tools><preferences> and turn on Remove Loops. Then <place><inTeractive routing>, starting on the segment you want to flip to the other side. Use the * key to jump to the other side, place tracks as needed to where you want to resurface, and use * again to get back. One final click and you should see the desired result. Much faster to do that to describe.
