You're welcome Vinny!
I'm glad that when using Pro Tools, Voiceover users including myself can now
focus more on interacting with music instead of constantly interacting, stop
interacting, and frantically chasing after controls!
I still find myself doing that often just out of habit. Then I realize, wait, I
can use Flo Tools!

Hi Chi,
Thank you for all your work! This is outstanding and unprecedented for us on
the Mac as of yet…
We have been discussing this on the Roger group and there have been many
positive comments about how well fought out the interface is and how much more
efficient we can be with the Scripps, but I thought I would just publicly thank
you here on the Pro Tools list.
I would like to thank you and Rocco for taking the initiative to start this
and thank Slau for coming up with such a great key map and adding so much more
functionality for us. This is truly a great time to be a blind musician!

Thanks again for a job well done,
Vinny

As a blind engineer, producer, and out-right music enthusiast Flo Tools has
dramatically increased efficiency considerably in my production workflow;
furthermore, this well thought out, intuitive, functional, yet effective
interface has afforded blind Pro-tools users a fighting chance of seriously
competing as a mix and recording engineer in an industry that is exceedingly
sighted, and lacking diversity and inclusion at the higher levels. Chi, Rocco,
and Slau saw it necessary that blind professionals in the audio production
arena remain focused on what really matters, which is the work and not
accessibility; moreover, the fact that Flo-tools cost nothing and more
importantly is an open source interface, shows not only the blind community,
but the entire world that someone cares, and is willing to assist in the
advancement of this small and gifted group of individuals. I would like to
personally thank these three gentlemen for providing a wonderful and crucial
solution to having a pair of eyes in the studio while navigating in Pro-tools;
as well, congratulations on changing lives through your talents, abilities, and
good hearts.
Temporary fix-external!
permanent fix-internal!
THE answer is always with in!
LETS love this world, it's a gift!

Hi All,

Thank you for all your positive excitement!

Special thanks to Rocco and Slau for making this possible!

We hope the script will help you to spend more time with music instead of
Voiceover!

Follow the links on the Flo Tools site to take you to Stairways to purchase
Keyboard Maestro if you’d like to use the macros. It’s around $36. It was on
sale for $20 about 10 days ago and I did mention that everybody should buy it
and I said, “Trust me, you’re going to want to buy it anyway.”

Here’s an important new development for our community. A new free product
specifically designed for blind users of Pro Tools has been released today and
it’s called Flo Tools. Point your browsers at
http://flotools.github.io<http://flotools.github.io/>
and get these free scripts for Pro Tools and, yes, we said, “scripts for Pro
Tools.” You’ll need Keyboard Maestro to trigger them. These are scripts that
perform and automate certain tasks and provide feedback through VoiceOver.
Everything you need to know can be found at the web site. There’s a detailed
Read Me file plus an “Intro to Flo Tools” mp3. This open source project will
transform the way blind users use Pro Tools. Since it’s open source, other
programmers can get involved and who knows what this might eventually lead to
but, right now, it’s the most exciting development in Pro Tools accessibility
this community has seen in years. Flo Tools is brought to you by Chi Kim, Rocco
Fiorentino and Slau Halatyn.
