Thanks Vincent! I got one small-cheap and nice thinkpad from Antonios, so i want to record from supercollider in the most light way (with the terminal) so i do not get xruns in jackd. The good thing about ecasound, is that I can give a name and format to the file so I can describe it, and then would be easier to know what it is. I was trying recording with emacs but it tells me: File 'recordings/SC_080619_132804.aiff' could not be opened. 'System error.'I tried to make the recordings directory but no luck. thanks Altern for remind me of timemachine! cheers Mattin
