You should have downloaded one of the experimental installers from
the squeeze branch.

I almost fel for a netbook recently, instead I decided to pimp my x22
with an IDE CF reader (the poor's man SSD), a cheap CF and a new 6-cell 
battery clone. Everything for less than 100 euros with a liveHD install
of p:d and an extra partition for the persistence mode.
