I'm no Plone expert, but I don't think #4 is a problem for Plone. I think there are actually quite a few Plone sites with custom UIs (my company's new Intranet being one of them). And just to add another voice to this SQLAlchemy hurrah, like Colin, I'm also doing (complex) GIS stuff with PostGIS (& Shapely & GeoJSON & PyProj). Having a bit of experience with both Django and Rails, I don't know how I'd accomplish with their ORMs what I can with SA. I'm not saying it's not possible, but it seems nowhere near as straightforward or flexible. I'm also using Pylons/SA with a big, ugly, legacy Oracle schema. Fun, fun, fun. PS If anyone needs an SA type def for PostGIS geometry columns, give me a shout. I have one version based on PCL and another on Shapely. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "pylons-discuss" group.
