I'm interested in this question too. yes, a VPS is usually preferable, but
to be honest, I get some small jobs for whom I simply can not be on the hook
for administering a vps. I used webfaction many many years ago when they
were having some growth issues, hopefully those are sorted now. I'd like to
hear of any other decent ways of deploying wsgi apps on a setup that I feel
very comfortable knowing I won't have to *ever* log into again unless the
client has started a new contract for extensions. With a vps, if they run
out of diskspace or memory or bandwidth or some other thing gets screwed up
( server compromized, whatever) it becomes *my* problem, with webfaction and
similar services, it's not my problem, they'll take care of it. That's a
better situation for many small jobs and is a valid business decision.

So any other suggestions for managed shared hosting of wsgi apps where you'd
feel good turning it on and knowing it will 'just work' for ever ( or as
close as we can reasonably expect)?

thanks
Iain
