It is, as long as there is "Python 2.8" in it: it will breed confusion
amongst the 99% of non-experts our community is composed of.

To be clear: I don't think anyone would go after you for doing so
(perhaps Barry will play a bass solo? :-)), but it would still be a
shame IMHO.
