Yes, that is correct - the red X indicates that the pointer environment didn't recognize the system sprite you were trying to have it draw -but it does understand that you are trying to draw a system sprite. Typically, that means that you are trying to draw a system sprite with a number higher than 39, or a negative number. If you wish, could you build a very small test application (where you have the problem) and send it to me - I could try to find out what happens (but please send the compiled version + the source).
