I didn't - UK only.
These "Computer Cleaners" - much more than simply smoothing capacitors -
are still being sold.
These mainly cured the problems of crashing QLs.

I am not talking about the motherboard's basic susceptibility to
crashing with 'dirty' mains.  The problem is with expansions not using
good buffered and smoothed backplanes.  Qubide does have a through port,
but when an expansion (like Gold Card) is plugged into it, then the
inherent noise of the J1 interface becomes critical.

It is the expansion that crashes, not the motherboard in these cases.
The 'Bent' mods were to the motherboard, and will not help the
daisy-chained expansion much I think.
