I just have to pop up here. Tony may dispute this but this was the
original genesis of the ROMDisq. Soon after the superHermes was
introduced I was at an Eindhoven meeting with both Tony Tebby and Tony
Firshman. I was talking to Tony about the keyboard extensions and I
suggested that the only thing wrong with superHermes was that you had to
load the extensions before it would let you use the keyboard. He then
said that he wanted to have the extensions in the firmware but there was
not room so suggested a ROM. He then said that people wanted to
configure the extensions and have different languages etc. so I said
that, since the Miracle hard drive system could read and write via the
ROM port why not use flash memory - his eyes lit up and he said 'I think
we have a new product here' and he then went into a huddle with Tony
Tebby about it. He came back with something far better than I had
envisioned but that is the way of things.
