It was not against the rules. I won't go into the unfairness of not
catering for body weight - that would be unfair (8-)#
Thank goodness, they'd need twice their load of fuel to get me in the
air :-(
He he - that is what I was implying (8-)# Mind you you didn't look
very large when I last saw you. ... now Freddie was a different story
in the old days. Mind you he was slim when I saw him years later in
Eindhoven. Well not exactly *slim* but he was certainly rattling around
in his suits. If you ever feel you are maybe a few Maltesers over the
norm, then you should watch the TV program I saw a little while back
about Americans. This one guy was 1000lbs - "Half ton man". He had to
have the front of his house demolished and taken out by crane to
hospital. He got down to maybe 13 stone. Amazingly he was back up to
600 lbs in 6 months. "Well when you have a hamburger you have to have
another and in no time it is sixteen". "When you have fries you must
have mayonnaise and ketchup". Has he not heard of salad, fruit, green
vegetables and the like?
Absolutely mad. His wife didn't help, who was also obese. "I don't
like you when you are thin".
in a plane which revs so much before letting the brakes off. It was like
being catapulted. Needless to say my 15kg bike did *not* send us into
the water (8-)#
He he, I can just imagine an entire jumbo jet trying to take off from
an aircraft carrier with the aid of a catapult from your description ...
It was a pretty *small* plane. I am sure a jumbo would be too wide even
for the runway.
Nice airport though (London City) - it is so small that it doesn't feel
like an airport.
Mind you that is nothing to Biggin Hill, where Peter Fox keeps (or maybe
kept) his small Piper. We had many trips to European QL shows from
there, and *security* is really just for show.
When one shifted ones body, then Peter looked round accusingly and had
to adjust (8-)#
There are many many stories about those trips - will leave that to Lucerne.
