Use a wire to manually connect between the two sockets (8-)#

ahha (a bit later) - put a boot program on mdv1 :
10 print ver$

.. or just report what is printed on the ROM(s)

That is not what I have said - they are not on sale.
This is to keep my QL repair business going a little while longer...

Not German because it would have Aumlaut etc.

If there are no 'foreign' letters, then my guess is US.

I don't think it is keyed to subject - I reckon only one a day to us.
This is confirmed by looking at my filed mail.

Also the _only_ emails we have had from Kit Lester since this time last
year (I haven't looked any further) are similar emails telling us he is
on hols. I have emailed him direct (when he is not on hols) about this
and got no reply. I reckon he deserves bouncing off the group
temporarily, and politely told to re-register via an email that doesn't
send holday msgs.
