Hi,

I recently acquired a 3rd QL, but this one is not quite what I expected...

It was maufactured by Samsung, has an unusual serial number (SG18-001668),
and was manufactured in October 1985 according to the "warranty seal" sticker.

It also has D-plug serial and CTL ports, and some differences on the
keyboard - a double-interlocking-S ("" - this may not show up if you're
not using a windows machine), an extra "/" over the 7 key, open bracket
over the 8, and two close brackets (over 9 and zero).

Unfortunately, I am unable to determine the ROM version, nor whether the
odd keys do in fact print the characters embossed on them, as the membrane
is cracked (at the place where it emerges from under the keyboard,
unfortunately, so a cut'n'shut job won't work). And since Tony's not got
any left... :(

However, from the description of the differences, would anyone hazard a
guess as to the origins of this QL?

Cheers,
Ade.

PS: Sorry about setting off Kit Lester's "I'm on holiday" smug-alarm again...
