I looked at the photo, and from your description it's a mixture
of a europen (german?) QL and an old JM (D-14 serial number, I'd 
guess).  The only reason I can see is an english buyer
"customised" the german ql to be useable for british needs.  I'd
guess the brackets and other non-letter keys to the right are
from another (the JM) QL, too, as well as the tab, shift and
control keys (the german ql had only ideograms on it).
