No, it's not, as Oliver (and I) pointed out, technical it would be
possible, but it's just forbidden by laws.

Directly importing .osm files would require someone to write a import
converter module, or better, integrate the solution of Computerteddy.

I'm sure Oliver would accept a patch for such a import module  :)

This would be bad engineering, gmapsupp.img files are the final
