Hi Gour, yes, you can, but you have to overcome your aversions against wine. Simply download the MapSource installer. Use wine with the exe. That will inflate the map into ~/.wine/drive_c/whatever. Move the map directory into a sane place you prefer. Next you have to open the map in GT. Note, this is a bit hideous as Garmin decided to give no information about the basemap file in the *tdb. Usually the installer will make an entry in the registry for that. Thus after you selected the *tdb file, you have to select the *.img with the basemap. For OSM this is usually the *img with the same name as the *tdb. For other products you have to use your fantasy. If you see this: "Bad position format. Must be: [N|S] ddd mm.sss [W|E] ddd mm.sss" simply ignore it. It's a bug that is addressed in latest SVN version. Use F1->F3 to center on that map. If you think you messed up everything simply erase or edit ~/.config/QLandkarteGT/QLandkarteGT.conf. QLandkarte is like an elefant. It remembers all forever.
