On the contrary, I'd like to see qooxdoo on its own feet, just like a few other elite open-source projects. I just would like the core team to consult the opinion of the community when writing the roadmap document. My argument is that asking this simple question (what should we do next with qooxdoo?) and having a discussion about the ups and downs of the answers will tremendously increase community involvement. That's all. Of course 1&1's needs have priority. But if the community's opinions are completely ignored, why bother with open-sourcing qooxdoo at all?
