Hi! Very interesting discussion.

I'm extremely pleased with Qooxdoo and I believe it's the most mature and
robust RIA Javascript framework. The structure of the framework is excellent
and the code is extremely clean. I also think the documentation is super!
The developers are doing a tremendous work.

It's however sad to see Qooxdoo not getting the attention it deserves. Here
is my suggestions:

• Make the widgets more Mac-like. As it is now it looks and behaves way to
much like Windows 95. Much of it would be easy to fix with a new theme but
there's also some functionality that could be improved and added, such as
live-drag for the splitpane, the selectbox could be updated to behave more
like a Mac OS X dropdown menu etc. This might sound more like my personal
requests but small details like this can really make a difference.

• A new logo, website design, a new theme and icon set would do wonders.
This is very important if not the most important in order to get more hype
around Qooxdoo. The framework can be (and is imo:)) the best but if the look
is not appealing many people will not bother with it. Most people don't have
the time nor the budget investing in a custom theme for their application.
Then they simply chose an other framework because of it's appealing look.

I'm mainly a UI designer (check bombiadesign.com or invoicemachine.com) and
would like to contribute something to Qooxdoo and I think I could help out
with the graphical aspects and directions such as a new theme, website
design and even give suggestions on how widgets UI functionality can be
improved and be more mac-like. :) Please let me know if any are interested.

• Fix so Qooxdoo applications can be developed and debugged using Safari, as
it is now you have to quit Safari in order to any changes to take effect. I
know this is a bug for Webkit but there have to be a workaround until they
solve it.

Thanks for reading! :)
