I agree. The qcl library will be such a system for PHP. But it won't be
everybody's taste, just if you are willing to, or longing for, an out-of-the
box integrated client-server solution where you can do fast application
prototyping, but will have to do it the way the backend author(s) envision,
not the way you might want to do it. 

That's the problem with any such system: the easier you make it to adopt and
to get started, the less flexibility and freedom for the developer. I have
two (!) users at the moment, and we run into issues all the time where I see
that "my" way is not always the ways others want to use the backend. But
we're working on that ;-)
